Newspaper campaign irks Naidu

By Our Special Correspondent

VISAKHAPATNAM, APR 15. The Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, was visibly angry with a Telugu newspaper for its "misleading campaign'' that he had influenced the election authorities to ensure that the `cycle' symbol of Telugu Desam Party had better visibility than the `hand` symbol of the Congress on the ballot papers.

Asked to comment on the charge levelled against him, he said it was not ethical for newspapers to carry out such campaigns.

"I have always refrained myself from saying anything against the press. But should they not have any ethics,'' he asked raising his voice.
