MANGALORE, APRIL 15. The Karnataka Uday Yatra being taken out by the State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of its President, H.N. Ananth Kumar, will enter the Mangalore Lok Sabha constituency limits on April 22. A press release from Vishweshwar Bhat Bangaradka, General Secretary of the Dakshina Kannada unit of the party, said the yatra would arrive in Ullal from Suratkal at 10 a.m. A public meeting would be held there. The yatra would then proceed to Bantwal and Vittla Assembly constituencies, where public meetings had been arranged. It would halt at Puttur overnight. On April 23, the yatra would proceed towards Sullia, Madikeri, and Somwarpet before halting at Virajpet. Prominent BJP leaders, including V. Dhananjaya Kumar, Shobha K., and the actor, Saikumar, would accompany Mr. Ananth Kumar, he said. The Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, would visit areas in the Mangalore Lok Sabha constituency and address an election rally.
