No power

COIMBATORE, APRIL 15. There will be no power supply in the following places on April 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. owing to shutdown of Thekkalur substation for maintenance work: All H.T. consumers in Mill Feeder, Vadugapalayam, Valayapalayam, Kolathupalayam, Kittampalayam, Sengalipalayam, Thaneerpandalpalayam, Thimmininyampalayam, Panappalayam, Vengaikalpalayam, Suripalayam, Puthunallur, Alampalayam, Vellandipalayam, Eripalayam, Kamanaikanpalayam, Munukattipalayam, Nalligoundarpalayam, Puthupalayam, Kaduvettipalayam and Molagalipalayam.

Medical camp

Rex Ortho Hospital will organise a `hip and knee replacement' consultation camp on April 18 on the hospital premises.

Those suffering from arthritis, knee and hip pain or any other orthopaedic problems could attend the camp.

Kumbabishekam

The Kumbabishegam of the Pateeshwarar and Pachainayagi Amman shrines of Subramaniaswami Temple, Marudamalai, would be held on May 1. Idols of Anjaneya and Garudalvar would be consecrated at Karivaradarajaperumal Temple, Vadavalli,

on May 2.

Applications

The Collector, N. Muruganandam, has sought applications for appointment of Special Criminal Public Prosecutors to appear for SC/ST-related cases.

The lawyers should have been registered with any of the bar councils in the State with ten years seniority and should be aged below 60.

Applications should reach the Collectorate on or before April 30.
