CHENNAI, APRIL 16. Six close circuit cameras have been set up inside the Vadapalani Temple to check incidents of thefts, chain snatching and harassment of women. The Police Commissioner, R. Natraj, today inaugurated the facility. An assistance booth near the temple and a computer-training centre for children of police personnel at the Vadapalani police quarters was also opened. Certificates were given away to six students trained at a computer centre in Mambalam police quarters. The South Chennai Assistant Police Commissioner, J. K. Tripathi, and the Assistant Commissioner (T. Nagar), C. Murugan, also participated.
