PANAJI, APRIL 17. State Bank of India has opened bus `Q' shelter ATM, said to be the first of its kind, near Basilica of Bom Jesus, Old Goa, on Friday. The bank said the new type of ATM would cater to the tourist population, which hitherto was not taken care of by the banking industry. Speaking to reporters here after opening the ATM, SBI Chief General Manager, Mumbai Circle, A. Ramesh Kumar, said the bank was contemplating to introduce ATM on Wheels or Mobile ATMs to start with Goa. He further disclosed that Drive in ATMs would also be introduced, where one need not get down of his car and complete the transaction. Speaking about the performance of the bank in `Panaji Module,' it has performed exceedingly well in the last financial year with aggregate deposits of Rs. 2,747 crores and advances of Rs. 405 crores.
