BJP to consider joining TDP Government

VISAKHAPATNAM, APRIL 17. The Bharatiya Janata Party would consider joining the Telugu Desam Party Government at a later stage as per the situation prevailing then, the party's Leader in the dissolved Assembly and contestant for the Visakhapatnam-I Assembly constituency, K. Haribabu, said here on Saturday.

He made this observation at a press conference when asked if the BJP would join the State Cabinet in the background of the Prime Minister, A.B. Vajpayee, having invited the TDP to join the Union Cabinet.

Dr. Haribabu did not see any chance of cross-voting in the coming election and was confident of voters preferring him and the TDP's candidate for the Lok Sabha constituency, M.V.V.S. Murthi.
