GUNTUR: The Guntur district police recovered three tiffin-box bombs from Sattenapalli and 600 gelatine sticks from Dachepalli mandal in Guntur district on Saturday. The Superintendent of Police, Ravi Shankar Ayyannar, told reporters here that the bombs, along with an axe and knife, were recovered at Kambalabavi in Sattenapalli, from the backyard of one Sheik Adam Shafi, an accused in a murder case released on bail. The gelatine sticks and 500 kg of explosive material stored and being sold without licence by one Bandaru Edukondalu of Narayanapuram in Dachepalli mandal, were taken into custody and explosives recovered from a house, a little away from the shop he was running, Dr. Ravi Shankar said. With the efforts of the Gurzala Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ravindranath Babu, the suppliers of the explosive material were also traced, he said.
