Prize distribution function
MYSORE,
APRIL 18.
The Govt. Press FC, the defending champion who retained the title for the second year in a row by emerging as the top team in the `A' Division with 27 points, was presented with the Achutha Rao Memorial Trophy in the prize distribution function conducted by The Mysore District Football Association at the Doddakere Maidan grounds here on Sunday.
Police FC, Mysore which finished second in the `A' Division league was also presented with a trophy. Pope FC the winner of the `B' division title was presented with the Govindaraju Memorial trophy. Lucky XI which finished runner-up in the `B' division was awarded a trophy.
Both Pope FC and Lucky XI earned promotion to the `A' division. Bannur Town FC the winner of the `C' Division title was awarded the Chirag Cup while runner-up Rovers
FC was also presented with a trophy. Both the teams earned promotion to the `B' division.
The prizes were given away to the winners by Mr.P. Nagaraj, President, The City Co-Operative Bank, Mysore and Governing Board Member KSFA.
