Jinan steals the show
KOCHI,
APRIL 18.
Handling the table tops, the dirt mounds and the sharp turns expertly, National star C.D.Jinan won the `professional class' trophy in the Island Motor Racing Club's motocross meet at the Silver Sands Island, near Vytilla, on Sunday.
"The turns were quite tight. They were very challenging," said TVS Racing's Jinan who was clearly the star of the show. Godwin Antony finished runner-up while A. J. Jose was third.
Ashwin Das won the novices class title while M.Rajeev and Boney Joseph finished second and third respectively.
Final placings:
Professional class: 1. C.D.Jinan, 2. Godwin Antony, 3. A.J.Jose, 4. Amal Antony, 5. V.A.Babu, 6. M.A.John.
Novices class: 1. Ashwin Das, 2. M.Rajeev, 3. Boney Joseph, 4. Goldwin Thomas, 5. Renjith, 6. Pradeep.
Other special prizes: Ashwin Das (best performance), Dany Kurian (disciplined rider), S.R.Renjith (promising rider), Prasanth Varma (best allrounder). - Our Sports Reporter
