It's Teja Fives

HYDERABAD, APRIL 18. Teja Fives of Hyderabad emerged champion in the fifth All-India invitation ball badminton tournament at BHEL Community Centre Grounds here today.

Sharada Fives and Integral Coach Factory settled for second and third places respectively.

In the final round of league matches in the super league phase, Teja Fives recorded wins over ICF (Chennai), South Central Railway while Sharada Fives beat Teja Fives and ICF to finish runner-up.

Syed Rafi of Teja Fives was named `player of the tournament.'

A.N. Jagadeeswaran, Executive Director, BHEL, gave away the prizes.

The results (round-robin super-league): Teja Fives bt Integral Coach Factory 29-23, 29-26; South Central Railway bt Sharada Fives 29-15, 29-26; Sharada Fives bt Teja Fives 29-28, 26-29, 29-10; ICF bt SCR 29-14, 29-24; Teja Fives bt SCR 29-27, 29-23; Sharada Fives bt ICF 9-29, 29-19, 29-28.
