Pant bowls Young Friends to victory

NEW DELHI, APRIL 18. A five-wicket haul by leg-spinner Rakshit Pant helped Young Friends to a 153-run victory over Subhania Club in a super `A' division DDCA league cricket match at the Mohan Meakin ground.

The scores:

Super `A' division: Young Friends 226 for seven in 40 overs (Sandeep Malhotra 55 not out, Yogender Negi 42) beat Subhania Club 73 in 22 overs (Naveen Kumar 26, Rakshit Pant five for seven).

`A-I' division: Ravi Brothers 264 for nine in 35 overs (Amit Tiwari 65, Saurabh Tiwari 32) beat Rajdhani Club 154 for six in 35 overs (Shahid Jamal 34 not out, Anant Sadh 32).

Rehman Club 179 in 38.4 overs (Adnan Ali 47, Mohammed Furkan 44, Mehruddin Arif 38, Sourabh Negi five for 20) lost to Central Bank 182 for five in 38.2 overs (Arjun Kumar 69, Nitin Goel 30).

`A-II' division: Delhi Telecom 269 for five in 35 overs (Varun Kumar 110, N. S. Negi 80 not out, Rajender Kumar 50) beat Bank of India 160 in 25.3 overs (Samrat Dutta 61, Pradeep Kanojia 39).
