PATHANAMTHITTA, APRIL 19. The former Union Minister, P.J. Kurien, inaugurated the constituency tour of the UDF nominee for the Mavelikkara Lok Sabha seat, Ramesh Chennithala, at Venmani, near Chengannur, today. In his inaugural address, Prof. Kurien said that Mr. Chennithala had performed exceptionally well as an MP in the constituency during the past four-and-half years. He stressed the need to elect maximum number of Congress nominees to the Lok Sabha to safeguard the secular credentials of the country. Mr. Chennithala, said that he was seeking the people's mandate for a second term from Mavelikkara to complete various development projects initiated by him in the constituency.
