Letters to the Editor
Sir, After Sheikh Yassin, it is Abdul Aziz Rantisi. Tomorrow, it may be Khaled Meshaal. To add fuel to the fire in West Asia, an Israeli Cabinet Minister has publicly said Israel will continue with its targeted killings. Israel's plan and solution to the Palestine crisis are clear. By assassinating all leaders of Hamas, as rightly stated and interpreted by Praful Bidwai (April 19), the most egregiously unjust "solutions" can be imposed on a dispirited leadership and the people.
C.A.C. Murugappan,
Sir, Targeted killing is nothing new for Israel. The U.S. and rest of the world are watching in silence. According to George Bush, Israel has the right to self-defence. Does it mean it can kill any number of Palestinians and acquire as much of Palestinian land, but the Palestinians should not move in self-defence?
Shafaat Ahmed,
