Cognizant's sequential net up

CHENNAI, APRIL 20. Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation increased its revenue to $119.7 million in the first quarter of 2004 from $108.2 million in the fourth quarter of last year.

Net income for the first quarter increased to $19.8 million, or $0.28 per diluted share compared to $17.7 million, or $0.25 per diluted share in the fourth quarter of 2003.

During the quarter, the company increased its global staff by over 1,200 people to 10,500.
