NEW YORK, APRIL 20. Indian Ambassador-at-large for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and People of Indian Origin (PIOs), B.K. Agnihotri, has expressed concern over grant of non-NATO ally status to Pakistan, describing it as ``unfortunate.'' Addressing more than 500 representatives of 40 Indian-American organisations in Fremont, California, on Monday, Mr. Agnihotri urged the Indian-Americans to enlighten the lawmakers in their respective regions about the danger the move posed to the stability of South Asia, especially if Islamabad could acquire sophisticated weapons. ``Though important in itself, it is not enough to only create caucuses in the U.S. Congress and Senate; it is equally important to keep the lawmakers informed about the various developments in South Asia and promote India's causes,'' he said.
