NEW DELHI, APRIL 20. A 40-year-old woman has been arrested by the Crime Branch from Mansarover Park in North-East Delhi on charges of stocking liquor meant to be sold in Rajasthan for distribution in jhuggi clusters just before Lok Sabha election here in the Capital. The police recovered 34 cartons containing liquor bottles from her residence. Acting on a tip-off that Jamna, a resident of Mansarover Park, had been stocking liquor smuggling in from Rajasthan to distribute it among jhuggi dwellers, the police raided her residence and recovered the consignment. During interrogation, she disclosed that the smugglers used to deliver the consignments at different places everyday to avoid detection. Further investigations into the matter are on.
