Man held for killing father

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI, APRIL 20. A man has been arrested along with two accomplices for allegedly killing his 45-year-old father at Khajuri Khas in North-East Delhi on April 8. The main accused allegedly decided to kill his father when he came to know that he had been molesting his two minor daughters.

According to the police, the three accused, identified as Akil (24), Irfan Hussain (24) and Mohammad Zaheen, were arrested on Monday and the police recovered their blood stained clothes and weapon offence at their instance.

During interrogation, Akil told the police that his father, Nawab, was living with him for the past six months after his mother died. Some time ago, Akil's two minor daughters, Sultana and Mumtaz, complained to him about their grandfather's misbehaviour. Akil got angry with his father and decided to eliminate him. He also told his friend Zaheen about his father's ill intentions. The two decided to kill Nawab and roped in Irfan.

Zaheen and Irfan came to Akil's house on April 7 and stayed there till Nawab went to sleep. Around 2 a.m., Akil smothered his father with a towel, while Zaheen held Nawab's feet. Irfan then stabbed Nawab on his neck. Akil again stabbed his father several times on the chest and back. The trio then fled from the spot.

Further investigations in the case are on.
