Ramanathapuram

RAMANATHAPURAM, APRIL 21. Four candidates, including the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate, Bhavani Rajendaran, today filed their nomination papers for the Ramanathapuram constituency. Tamilarasan of Pandikanmoi near Paramakudi, Sankaravelu of Keelakanjirankulam near Mudukulathur and Angusamy of Muthuvayal were the independent candidates.
Sivaganga
No one filed nomination papers for the Sivaganga constituency today. Meanwhile, the district administration opened a control room on the premises of the Velunachiyar Circuit House for registering poll related complaints, the Collector, J. Radhakrishnan, said. In a release he said the Election Commission deputed three election observers Ramthan Lal Meena, A.K. Singh and Shambu Dayal Agarwal for the Sivaganga constituency. The people could contact them over telephones 246992, 246993 and 246994 (04575) respectively between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
