Blood donation camp

NEW DELHI APRIL 21 .The Sant Nirankari Mission will organise 58 blood donation camps in various parts of the country on April 24 to coincide with Manav Ekta Divas which commemorates the supreme sacrifice of the Mission's former head, Baba Gurbachan Singh, and hundreds of its devotees who laid down their lives for truth, love and unity.

Announcing this, the Sant Nirankari Mandal said today the Mission plans to hold another 43 camps by September taking the total for the year to 101. This would compare well with the 129 camps organised by it during the same period last year.

The main camp will be organised in Delhi and will be inaugurated by the spiritual head of the Mission, Baba Hardev Singh. To be organised in close coordination with the Indian Red Cross Society and leading hospitals of the Capital, it will also pay special attention to the pre-donation tests and post-donation requirements of the donors.

Congress workers' convention

NEW DELHI APRIL 21. A meeting and convention of workers of the Congress was organised at the National Club in Chandni Chowk today to support the candidature of Kapil Sibal for the Lok Sabha elections to the Chandni Chowk constituency.

Several prominent and senior Congress leaders of the Walled City attended the meeting and felicitated the Congress candidate. They hoped that Mr Sibal would spread awareness against the communal forces in various parts of the country.
