NEW DELHI, APRIL 21. A bag containing Rs. 40 lakhs went missing from the cash van attached to the HSBC Bank under mysterious circumstances in New Delhi on April 19. According to the police, the bag was found missing by two custodians of the cash - Neeraj Kumar and Sudesh Kumar, -- and Group 4 Securitas security guards - Narendra and Netrapal, -- at Khan Market where they had stopped for the refilling of an ATM. The van was provided by one Tacit Tours and Travels. The four told the police that after withdrawing Rs. 60 lakhs from the Mahipalpur vault of Group 4 Securitas Cash Services Private Limited, that manages cash transactions of different banks, they went to New Friends Colony, Noida, Patparganj, Preet Vihar and Connaught Place to deliver the cash to ATM centres. Then they went to Khan Market to deliver the cash and were shocked to find that a bag containing Rs. 40 lakhs was missing from the van. Acting on the complaint, the police have registered a case and are questioning the four on suspicion of their involvement. Further investigations into the matter are on.
