IAF helicopter crashes

SRINAGAR, APRIL 22. An Indian Air Force helicopter on a supply mission to a forward post near the Line of Control today crashed in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, killing the pilot and injuring the co-pilot.

The Cheetah crashed around noon at Choolan village, 40 km from Uri town, shortly after takeoff from the 12,000-foot high Baaz post, facing Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.
