Parts of Tumkur to get power from Anchepalya station
By Our Staff Correspondent
TUMKUR,
APRIL 22.
Power supply to parts of Tumkur city will be arranged from Anchepalya Power Station in Kunigal town for at least five days from Friday.
The 220-kV power station at Antarasanahalli, from where power is supplied to the city, has taken up the shifting of one of its 110-kV tower to facilitate the Golden Quadrilateral Highway project work on the outskirts of the city.
Hence, alternative arrangements to draw power from Kunigal for the areas south of the highway in the city has been made.
There was some delay on Thursday in the implementation of the arrangement. The areas serviced from Hirehalli and Melekote sub-stations were badly affected.
