Portrait unveiled
By Our Staff Reporter
CHENNAI,
APRIL 23.
A portrait of a senior advocate, the late G. Subramanian, was unveiled on the Madras Bar Association premises by the Madras High Court Chief Justice, B. Subhashan Reddy.
The Chief Justice said the third generation lawyer, who had argued in his court many a time, was a great and successful civil lawyer.
The MBA president and senior counsel, R. Gandhi, said Subramanian was the brother of the former Attorney-General of India, G. Ramasamy. He offered all possible assistance to the younger members of the bar.
The MBA secretary, K.R. Tamizhmani, recalled that the late senior advocate had written his own obituary note and handed over to senior counsel, S. Gopalratnam, more than seven years ahead of his death.
Born in 1933, Subramanian died on February 16, 2004.
