CHENNAI, APRIL 23. The Catalyst Trust has brought out a short film for screening on television as part of its voter awareness campaign. The president of the Catalyst Trust and former MP, Era Chezhiyan, will formally launch the campaign on Saturday. The four-minute film, `Manimakudam un vakkurimai', will be screened on the occasion. Apart from suggesting how to choose a good candidate, the film emphasises the need and legal right of a citizen to visit the polling booth even in case he chooses not to vote for any candidate, and record his opinion that he does not consider any candidate worthwhile to vote for. The Trust is offering the film for free screening to any cable operator in Tamil Nadu. Those willing to contribute to the cause by buying a VCD copy of the film are requested to contact the Catalyst Trust office at 3/2, Shanthi Avenue, Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar, Tiruvanmiyur, Chennai 600 041 (Phone numbers: 24461597/24461381).
