Partly cloudy sky forecast

Partly cloudy sky with a possibility of a spell of rain or thundershower in some areas is forecast for Saturday. The maximum temperature would be around 37 degress Celsius. At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 31.0 degrees Celsius and the minimum was 22.0 degrees Celsius respectively on Friday. Rainfall at 8.30 p.m. was 62.2 mm. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 77 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 82 per cent. At airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 35.8 degrees Celsius and 23.8 degrees Celsius respectively. Rainfall at 8.30 p.m. was 20.4 mm. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 70 per cent and at 5.30 p.m was 66 per cent. The maximum and minimum temperatures at the Dolphin's Nose were 31.5 degrees Celsius and 20.3 degrees Celsius respectively. Rainfall at 8.30 a.m. was 46.2 mm. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 74 per cent.

Customer meets

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is conducting customer meetings on Monday at various places in the district. The meetings would be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the office of the General Manager, Vizag Telecom district at Dwarakanagar in the city and at the offices of Divisional Engineers at Anakapalle and Chodavaram.

Spot admissions

`Overseas Education' is conducting spot admissions at Taj Residency between 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday for students interested in studying in Australia and Singapore. According to Tamanna Mehdi of the Nagpur-based organisation, Australian and Singapore Universities' representatives would be present to assess the students. Interested students can register themselves by ringing up 2565632/5561900.

Medical camp

A free medical camp was conducted at Durgapuram in the 44th ward of the city by World Vision of India on Friday. About 300 children were screened at the camp and given free medicines. The NGO's manager, Tabitha Francis, and the medical doctor, P. Nirmala Kumari, spoke.
