KOCHI, APRIL 24. Two persons were injured in a road accident on National Highway No. 47 near Chakkaraparambu on Saturday afternoon.
The police said that two lorries, a tourist bus coming from Salem and a scooter were involved in the accident. Traffic on the National Highway was affected for about an hour as the police tried to shift the laden lorry from the National Highway. The police had to press a crane into service to shift the lorry.
The injured were admitted to the nearby Ernakulam Medical Centre. They were identified as Mohammed Rafi, 24, from Kaloor, and Philin P. James, 21, from Kottayam. Both of them are employees of the Kochi Corporation, said the police.
