BANGALORE, APRIL 24. Postgraduate medical and dental seat aspirants will meet the A.B. Murgod fee panel on Sunday morning to present their case for retaining last year's fee structure in private medical and dental colleges. The panel had tentatively fixed the fee at Rs. 2 lakh per annum, an issue over which the junior doctors had launched a State-wide agitation. The seat aspirants had met the Chief Secretary on Saturday seeking his intervention in the matter. But the official referred the matter to the fee panel. The candidates argued that the fee structure should have been fixed before the postgraduate entrance test conducted recently by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Meanwhile, 99 postgraduate medical and dental seats were allotted to in-service doctors attached to the Department of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday. The counselling, conducted by the Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, was attended by 240 candidates.
