This Day That Age
Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Thyagarayanagar, Madras, got up a function at the Hindi Prachar Sabha on April 25 to felicitate Mr. Palladam Sanjeeva Rao, one of the recipients of this year's Presidential award for music. Mr. K.M. Subramaniam, President of the Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, welcomed the gathering. Mr. Maharajapuram Santanam, General Secretary, presented an address to Mr. Sanjeeva Rao on behalf of the Sabha. The address referred to the services rendered by Mr. Sanjeeva Rao in the field of music and to his great talent as a flutist. Mr. C. Subramaniam, Finance Minister, said Mr. Sanjeeva Rao was a great exponent of Carnatic music.
