BELGAUM, APRIL 25. Five persons, including a woman, were killed on the spot and three others were injured in a collision between a van and a lorry near Kanagala on Pune-Bangalore National Highway in the Sankeshwar Police Station limits on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Shankarlal Sabne, Revati Gowda, Venkatesh Gowda, Suresh Shetty, and Praful Shetty. They were on their way to Chikmagalur from Mumbai. A case has been registered by the Sankeshwar Police Of the three injured, two have been admitted to KLE Hospital and another person to MGM Hospital, Nippani, according to the police.
