Monte Carlo: The world governing body for track and field has ratified the latest women's pole vault world record set by Russia's Yelena Isinbayeva.

Isinbayeva cleared 4.86 metres at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest, Hungary, on March 6. The mark is both an overall world record as well as an indoor world record.

The International Association of Athletics Federations also ratified the previous world and world indoor mark of 4.85 metres set by Russian rival Svetlana Feofanova on February 22 in Athens, Greece.

The IAAF certified the world indoor mark in the men's triple jump by Sweden's Christian Olsson. He jumped 17.83 metres on March 7 in Budapest.

The IAAF also ratified the world indoor record in the women's triple jump, set by Russia's Tatyana Lebedeva with a leap of 15.36 metres on March 6 in Budapest.
