INSAT picture at 11.30 hrs. Observations recorded at 8-30 a.m. on April 25.
Isolated rain in interior T.N. CHENNAI, APRIL 25. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Rayalaseema and Telangana. Isolated rainfall occurred over north interior and south Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over north coastal Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka. Kurnool and Podili (Prakasam dt) recorded heavy rainfall of 9 and 8 cms each respectively. The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms are: Yellandu (Khammam dt) 6, Bellary 3, Jammalamadugu (Cudappah dt) 2 and Tondi, Kodaikanal, Yellamanchili and Anakapalli (both Visakhapatnam dt), Tuni and Bidar 1 each. On Saturday, the maximum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, north Kerala and changed a little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over north interior Karnataka, at one or two places over Rayalaseema, interior Tamil Nadu, south coastal Tamil Nadu, Telangana, south Kerala, appreciably below normal at a few places over south interior Karnataka, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places rest Telangana, rest south interior Karnataka and were generally normal over rest of the region. Nizamabad recorded the highest maximum temperature of 42 degree Celsius in the region. FORECAST (Valid until Tuesday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Kerala, Telangana and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka. Farmers' weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (forecast valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
