HYDERABAD, APRIL 25 . Former Test cricketer and incumbent secretary of Hyderabad Cricket Association, N. Shivlal Yadav, is all set to retain the post for a second term of four years as for the first time in close to three decades the familiar face of P.R. Man Singh, former secretary of HCA will not be in the fray for the elections to be held to HCA on May 2. Shivlal will be formally declared elected on the big day. Mr. Man Singh said that he would not be contesting the elections for any post. "You may attribute this decision to personal reasons," he remarked. Dr. M.V. Sridhar, who had been holding the post of joint-secretary, will now be elected again as his rival Chitti Sridhar had withdrawn from the contest. Two others - E. Gopal of Telecom and Kishen Rao - have also been elected unanimously from the B-Division league. Same may be the case with incumbent vice-presidents D.S.Chalapathi, Arshad Ayub and Gautamchand Jain. According to HCA Constitution, there will be a contest for three vice-president posts and two will be nominated by the newly-elected body at it's first general body meeting. Official sources indicate that Dharamchand Jain and C.V. Anand will be re-nominated again. Mr. M. Ranga Reddy, who is now the president of HCA, and also the vice-president of BCCI, will not be there in the office-bearers list as the ruling brass have decided to promote Mr. G. Vinod, now vice-president, as President by virtue of his seniority. As there will be no election for this post, the out-going president, Mr. Reddy, will nominate him. However, contest seems inevitable between incumbent P.Yadgiri and Muneem Siddiqui for the treasurer's post.
