PONDICHERRY, APRIL 25. Srinivasan (55) of Azhiyur in Nettapakkam commune panchayat limits, who was assaulted by one, Balu, succumbed to his injuries here on Saturday. Police said the incident occurred some days ago, when Balu demanded repayment of a loan taken by Srinivisan. A quarrel ensued during which Srinivasan was assaulted with a stone. He was admitted to a nearby hospital. Balu has been remanded.
3 held for theft
Three persons were arrested last night in connection with the alleged theft of batteries and radiators from two industrial units near Krimambakkam, recently. They were apprehended after they were found moving in a suspicious circumstance near a college at Pillayarkuppam. After further questioning, the stolen materials were recovered from them.
