KURNOOL, APRIL 25. An employee of the electricity department, Subbaiah, died when he fell down from a pole at Venkayapalli here on Sunday. According to reports, he was carrying out repairs to the supply system, which was damaged in the hailstorm on Saturday. The loss to the APCPDCL on account of hailstorm is estimated to be around Rs. 25 lakhs in the city. A total of 12 transformers broke down and 54 poles damaged. By Sunday evening, seven transformers were restored. Power supply could not be ensured to some of the areas while alternative supply was arranged at some places.
