A day's programme for Vajpayee, Sonia

JAIPUR, APRIL 25 .The Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, will have their first election campaign meetings in Rajasthan during the current season this coming week. Both the leaders are coming for a day. While Mr.Vajpayee will address two public meetings in two divisions of the State, Ms.Gandhi will participate in four.

Mr.Vajpayee is scheduled to address public meetings at Rattangarh in the Churu Lok Sabha constituency and at Rajsamand, which is part of Udaipur constituency, on Monday. The tehsil town of Rattangarh is midway between Churu and Bikaner and the Lok Sabha constituencies of Churu, Bikaner and Sriganganagar are expected to benefit.

Mr.Vajpayee's second programme in Rajasthan during the day is at the district headquarters town of Rajsamand. The party candidates for the Lok Sabha seats of Banswara(ST), Udaipur, Bhilwara and Chittorgarh are to be introduced to the public by Mr.Vajpayee at this meeting.

Ms.Gandhi, too, is addressing a public meeting in Rajsamand the very next day (April 27) in the afternoon in support of the party nominee and former Pradesh Congress Committee president, Girija Vyas. However, she will have one more public meeting in south Rajasthan, at Dungarpur, which is part of the Banswara Lok Sabha constituency.

After reaching Sanganer airport here at in the morning, Ms.Gandhi will fly by helicopter to Dausa to address a public meeting there in support of the party candidate Sachin Pilot. From Dausa she will reach the district town of Sawai Madhopur from where the former Indian Police Service officer, Namo Narain Meena, is the party nominee.

Ms.Gandhi is scheduled to come back by helicopter to Sanganer airport to board the Executive Jet for Dhabok airport in Udaipur. She will go to Rajsamand and Dungarpur by helicopter and fly back from Dhabok airport in the evening for Delhi.
