PATHANAMTHITTA, APRIL 25. The Sarvodaya Upper Primary School situated on the banks of the River Pampa at Poovathoor is celebrating its golden jubilee from April 29 to May 1. The school manager, P. N. Balachandran Nair, said that the former secretary general of the National Human Rights Commission, R. V. Pillai, would inaugurate the golden jubilee celebrations on the school premises on April 29 afternoon. Mr. Nair said that the supreme head of the Malankara Mar Thoma Church, Philipose Mar Chrisostum, would deliver the benedictory address and Swami Samagrananda of the Thiruvalla Sree Ramakrishna Ashram would light the traditional lamp as part of the inaugural function.
