More ICS stations

NEW DELHI APRIL 25. With the addition of four new stations for quality ISO 9001 and Environment Management Certification ISO 14001 and Product Certification, the ICS (Asia) has emerged as a key player in the system certification sector in Asia with a total number of 27 stations in India and abroad.

A get-together of family of ICS (Asia)-North along with their associates was organised here on Friday. The General Manager (Operations), Ramakant Prasad, stated that four new stations which had become operational were ICS (Asia)-Ludhiana, ICS(Asia)-Kanpur, ICS(Asia)-Faridabad and ICS(Asia)-Shilma. The new stations would have additional back up of competent auditors and surveyors.

Global education for all

NEW DELHI APRIL 25.


A week-long programme titled "Global Education for All'', under the aegis of the UNESCO declaration of which Springdales School, Pusa, is a part, was held here recently. The AICC(I) secretary, Anil Shastri, presided over the function.

In her welcome address, the school principal, Ameeta Mulla Wattal, said that quality education both at the village and urban level was the need of the hour. The students of the school choir presented a programme on the occasion.


Free eye camp

NEW DELHI APRIL 25. A free eye camp is being organised by Tarun Mitra Parishad and Mitra Sangam at Gandhi Nagar on April 28. At the camp, a medical team from St. Stephen's Hospital will check the eye and select patients for cataract operations at the hospital free of charge. The camp will be held at Tagore Public School, Subhash Mohalla, No.2, Gandhi Nagar.

Meet on waste management

NEW DELHI APRIL 25. A two-day national conference on hospital waste management was inaugurated on Saturday at the Army Hospital in Delhi Cantonment. The conference has been organised by the Indian Society of Hospital Waste Management under the chairmanship of Lt. Gen. J.R. Bhardwaj, Director General of the Armed Forces Medical Services.

Delegates from the United Kingdom, Australia and WHO also participated in the conference.
