Watchman found dead

COIMBATORE, APRIL 25. A 60-year-old man, working as a night watchman in an upcoming residential locality near Navavoor Pirivu in Vadavalli, was found dead under suspicious circumstances today. Muniappan's body was found lying in a pool of blood in a house, which was nearing completion. The Vadavalli police registered a case.

Road roko

As many as 125 residents of Venkitapuram in Sai Baba Colony staged a road roko at the Thadagam Road junction today protesting against the erratic drinking water supply.

The road roko led to disruption in traffic. The police and Corporation officials held talks with the residents and assured speedy action. Following this, the crowd dispersed.
