NEW DELHI, APRIL 25. A woman and her paramour have been arrested for allegedly abducting a six-year-old boy from near Jhandewalan temple in Central Delhi on April 9. The boy has been rescued and handed over to his parents. According to the police, they received a complaint from Prem Shankar Jha, who works as a driver for Jhandewalan temple, alleging that some woman had taken away his son, Piyush. He disclosed that around 3 p.m. on April 9, Piyush and his elder brother, Prince, went to a neighbour's place for studies. After that, they were playing near the temple when some woman arrived there and took Piyush along with her on some pretext. The police registered a case and distributed Piyush's photographs to all police stations. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided one Natraj Studio at Gurgaon in Haryana and arrested a woman, later identified as Asha Rani, and the shop owner, Khem Chand, after Piyush was found there. During interrogation, Asha disclosed that she was staying with her parents, as her husband, Rameshwar, and in-laws had kicked her out around two years ago. They even took away her son. Around a year ago, she developed relations with Khem Chand, who was married and had three children. Khem Chand took a Gurgaon room on rent for Asha, so that he could live with her every three days per week. On April 9, Asha went to her in-laws' place to take back her son, Tarun, but they refused. A depressed Asha went to Jhandewalan temple where she saw Piyush, who she said resembled her son. So she brought him with her to Khem Chand's shop.
