The police gave the names of the victims as Balaji (19), a resident of Goraguntepalya, and Pawan Kumar (20). While the motorcycle rider, Balaji, died on the spot, Pawan Kumar, the pillion rider, died while he was being taken to a hospital. In another accident, a private bus knocked down Poddanna (10) of Chikkasandra while he was crossing the road at K.H. Road junction in Adugodi Traffic Police Station limits on Sunday. The boy died on the way to a hospital. Pradeep (28) of Muneshwara Block died after he fell from his motorcycle while negotiating a sharp curve near the Command Hospital in Ulsoor Traffic Police Station limits on Saturday. The Deputy Commissioner of Traffic (East), M.A. Saleem, said the narrow road had posed problems for the drivers to negotiate the curve resulting in a number of accidents.
