Arun Gawli did not vote

MUMBAI, APRIL 26. Apprehending his elimination in an encounter by the Mumbai police, the former underworld don-turned politician, Arun Gawli, did not cast his vote today.

He is contesting from the South-Central Mumbai Parliamentary constituency under the banner of his political outfit, Akhil Bharatiya Sena (ABS).

The Additional Commissioner of Police, south central Mumbai, Vinod Lokhande, said that Mr. Gawli was provided protection and ``in spite of that he did not go to vote.'' — PTI
