YSR writes to Kanda

HYDERABAD, APRIL 27. The Congress leader, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, in a letter to the Chief Secretary, Mohan Kanda, here on Tuesday appealed to him to instruct the authorities to extend relief to farmers and weaker sections hit by the recent hailstorm in Rangareddy, Medak, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar districts.

The farmers in these areas had suffered extensive damage to their crops and poultry farms. They must be given fresh loans apart from financial assistance, he said. Those whose houses had been damaged must be sanctioned houses under relevant schemes, he said.
