CHENNAI. APRIL 27. The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ambattur, has taken photographs of 272 employees for allotment of National Social Security Number (NSSN). The EPFO has taken photographs of more than 2,300 subscribers so far and proposed to cover over 2 lakh provident fund members in and around Ambattur. The allotment of the number will facilitate quicker settlement of claims and help employees to access account information from any of the EPFO offices. The processes involved in transfer of funds from one location to another on transfer of employee and mandatory attestation by employer will be dispensed with on the allotment of the number.
