KANCHEEPURAM, APRIL 27. Hundreds of villagers from Melakottaiyur in Kancheepuram district today thronged the Collectorate to meet the Collector, R. Venkatesan, and express their concern over the proposed dumping of industrial waste in their village. The Collector told them that he would arrange a separate meeting after the elections and hear their grievances. The villagers then dispersed.
