TIRUCHI, APRIL 27 . The election observer (expenditure) for the Tiruchi constituency, Amarvir Singh, today inspected some of the polling stations in the Tiruchi-I Assembly segment. He inspected the booths at the Bishop Heber Higher Secondary School, Teppakulam, the Holy Cross Girls Higher Secondary School, and the Government Syed Murtuza Higher Secondary School, and a few others at Irudhayapuram, Keezhapudur and Khajapettai. The Corporation Commissioner, Anand Patil, accompanied him.
Cases registered
The city police today registered five cases of violation of the norms on erecting hoardings at Azhagiripuram in Srirangam. Two cases were registered against the BJP, and one each against the AIADMK, the MDMK and Rajanikanth Fans Association.
