Eco-awareness programme

KOCHI, APRIL 27. Film actor Mammootty will launch an environment protection awareness programme, organised by the Samanwaya Charitable Trust, here on Wednesday. Mr. Mammootty will plant a sapling in the Children's Park to mark the launch of the programme, the Samanwaya Trust president, M.P. Venu said.

Traffic curbs

Traffic restrictions will be in place in the Thammanam-Pullepady Road from Wednesday because of work in the rail overbridge in the route. Vehicles were likely to be diverted.

Hunger strike

A hunger strike will be held in front of the Office of the Excise Commissioner on Wednesday in protest against the delay in declaring complete prohibition in the State. It will be inaugurated by Gandhi Karthiyani.

Power cut at Mulavukadu

Owing to the pre-monsoon maintenance work at the 66 KV sub-station, Mulavukadu, power supply to Mulavukadu island will be disrupted on Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 12 noon, said KSEB sources here today.

Results published

The results of the B.Tech third semester examinations held in engineering colleges under Cusat has been published. The results are available in the website www.cusat.ac.in.
