Israeli envoy calls for closer ties

HYDERABAD, APRIL 27. The similarities between India and Israel and the need for better interaction between the two nations in the fields of science and technology, politics, defence, commerce and culture was underscored by Yoed Magen, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Israel.

He was speaking at a meeting organised by Friends of Israel, a unit of Pragna Bharati, Andhra Pradesh and Aakruti, a cultural organisation, to commemorate the 56th National Day of Israel, here on Wednesday.

After making a brief presentation on Israel, he participated in an interactive session for about 30 minutes.
