NEW DELHI, APRIL 27. A three-doctor panel has been set up to conduct post-mortem on the 23-year-old doctor whose charred body was found in his completely burnt car at Kapashera in South-West Delhi under mysterious circumstances this past Saturday. The panel was formed after the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital doctors refused to conduct the post-mortem saying it was a sensitive case. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West Delhi), Tejinder Luthra, the post-mortem would now be conducted on Wednesday at DDU Hospital. This has irked the deceased, Sumit Chikara's parents and relatives as they kept waiting throughout the day hoping that his body would be handed over today for the last rites. The police today questioned the Vasant Kunj-based travel agent whom Sumit had recently contacted for booking air tickets to the United States. He disclosed that Sumit had on previous occasions asked him to book tickets but had failed to follow up. Hence, this time when he contacted him to book the tickets, the travel agent did not take it seriously.
