BANGALORE, APRIL 27. A seven-member delegation from the Andaman and Nicobar administration and the Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) has arrived in the city to study the development programmes taken up by the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP). The team led by the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, V.V. Bhat, comprises the Secretary (Finance), Punit Kumar Goel, the Deputy Commissioner, Gyanesh Bharti, the Secretary, Basu Kumar, the PBMC Accounts Officer, P. Vasudev, the PBMC State Information Officer, M. Manivannan, and the PBMC Assistant (Information Technology), Ashok Mohan Nath, according to a press release. The team will study services provided by the BMP in the fields of solid waste management, property tax, and park maintenance, the release says. The team will also visit the Karnataka Compost Development Corporation plant at Bommanahalli and scientific landfill site at K.R. Puram.
