Essar Steel's MoU with KRCL
AHMEDABAD,
APRIL 28.
The Hazira-based Essar Steel has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Konkan Railway Corporation for the supply of steel plates for the KRCL's prestigious sky bus project in India and abroad.
According to the Essar Steel executive director, Vikram Amin, Essar would be the "preferred steel supplier'' for the Konkan Railways' sky bus projects with an assurance to secure at least 50 per cent of its steel plates requirements from the Essar.
The Konkan Railways is now executing a pilot 1.6 kilometre long test track at Madgaon as part of its 17 km sky bus project in Goa. Many such similar projects to be executed by the KRCL are in various advanced stages of finalisation where the Essar would supply steel plates. — Our Special Correspondent
